The Overlooked Belleville Area

Spring is my favorite season! It is a time of growth and as symbolic as a phoenix rising through the ashes! Of course in our case, it would be the tiny buds and young animals that emerge out of seemingly dead plants and the cold ground. Overlooked by many, the relatively small town of Belleville, Illinois is home to a variety of parks and sights to view the budding wilderness. If you don't mind the commute, local town, Fairview Heights, is home to one of my favorite parks; 'Longacre Park', or as it is now known; Everett Moody Park. There is a lake and trails and geese to feed. If you have small children they will be sure to enjoy the many playgrounds and lively atmosphere.

Don't stay inside! See what Mother Earth has to offer you!
